“Ask the Network” Procedure Flow Chart
1. Survey question(s) originates with The Network (an NME Study Group or the Steering Committee), The State Board of Education (SBE Member, SBE Agenda Meeting, MDE staff, or MDE department), The Legislature (Senator, Representative, Legislative Liaison, Legislative Staff, Education Committee, etc.), The Governor (Education Advisor, Advisory Groups, etc.), and/or Professional Associations. Survey questions must be approved by the senior executive of any submitting group or person.
2. The survey question(s) are submitted to the NME Executive Committee via the Ask the Network Survey Team of Nancy Flanagan and/or Frank Miracola fmiracola@misd.net and/or nflanagan@comcast.net who will develop the questions with the requester, Once approved they will be entered in Zoomerang as a agree/disagree or other value weighted response question.
3. Each Network Member receives a short notification email from the NME listserve with a specified deadline for responding eg: NME Survey -"ASK THE NETWORK" - Please respond to the question(s) in this survey in the next 48 hours. We were asked to respond to this question by The State Board of Education (the requesting party is identified). Start Survey>
4. Each member takes the survey (usually only enough questions to keep the survey under 10 minutes). the following is a sample question from a past survey:
